How Much Does BodyTite Liposuction Cost?
BodyTite liposuction surgery is a minimally invasive body contouring system that involves no incisions, no general anaesthetics and minimal scarring. Perfect for body sculpting, BodyTite lipo or lipolysis is not intended to be used as a weight loss treatment and results will vary between patients according to their own skin type. It is ideal for use for those whose skin has become loose and the development of excess fat has increased with age. The BodyTite system not only safely removes excess fat but also enables the tightening of loose skin.
BodyTite liposuction prices in the UK will vary between clinics depending on the reputation and location of the clinic with discounts normally available if several areas require treating.
The benefits of BodyTite liposuction treatment over conventional liposuction surgery are many, and include the fact that general anesthesia is avoided minimizing risks considerably. Also, there is no scarring as the skin is never entered physically but only by radio frequency energy. There is minimum discomfort caused because the BodyTite lipo system regulates skin temperature while the deeper fat cells are melted away.
BodyTite Liposuction Procedure
The BodyTite liposuction procedure uses Radio Frequency Assisted Liposuction device, or RFAL, that is able to melt away fat which can then be filtered out of the body through the lymphatic system and through extraction. For internal liposuction procedures a cannula is inserted into the treatment area to remove fat that has gently been broken down by the High Radio frequency. There is no need for the aggressive breakdown of fatty tissue necessary with conventional liposuction. Any liquefied fat is then easy to extract with minimal discomfort and less bruising or swelling.
After BodyTite Treatment
BodyTite by its nature is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure and a patient can expect to resume a normal routine shortly afterwards. Post procedure; patients will be advised to wear a compression garment for a number of weeks and will be expected to avoid heavy exercise in this recovery period of around 1-2 weeks post-surgery.
The results of the BodyTite can be seen almost immediately after treatment; however it will take 9-12 weeks for the full benefits of the patient to see any significant changes.
How Long Will It Take To Recover?
Here, Mr David Floyd, Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital, describes a typical recovery from liposuction treament:
"Recovery for liposuction is pretty straightforward. The patients are usually in overnight if they’ve had a fairly extensive area of liposuction, for small areas it’s just a day case. They go home in a compression garment which is like a corset that I ask them to wear day and night for six weeks. You take it off to have a shower and put it back on again.
We see patients in a week to check their wounds and make sure everything’s okay and just give them some general advice. I ask them not to do any sport for a full six weeks to allow the area where we’ve done the liposuction to settle down and not get too sore.
It can take a full six weeks for the bruising and swelling to dissipate from liposuction so you don’t really know what the end result is until the six week time point. Even at that point there are some areas in the subcutaneous fat that feel a bit lumpy, and that is still residual swelling that can take up to three months to settle down completely.
That’s the full sort of recovery timeframe, at six weeks I usually allow patients to return to normal activities, and if anyone’s got a special event such as a wedding or event similar to that I usually make sure they have a full six to eight weeks from surgery to that event."

Which Areas Of The Body Can Be Treated?
BodyTite liposuction is ultimately designed to work best in areas with a high fat content. As the procedure is minimally invasive, it cannot remove underlying fat like traditional liposuction can. Instead, it works by melting the fat in areas where there are obvious and exposed fat pockets that don't respond to regular diet and exercise. Although BodyTite liposuction is safe to use all over the body, there are a number of areas that are vulnerable to fat pockets, and it's in these areas that many patients see the best results.
One of the most popular areas for BodyTite liposuction is the stomach. Although the stomach is very good at growing and shrinking to accommodate changing sizes, if it is stressed beyond it's capacity, for example by rapid weight gain or pregnancy, it can lose its elasticity which means that, even with a rigorous exercise routine, it will not return to its original size and shape. People with a tummy pouch that has stretch marks are often ideal candidates for BodyTite liposuction, as the stretch marks are a classic sign that the stomach has been stretched beyond its capability.
The upper arms can also be treated successfully. 'Bingo wings', as they're commonly known, are yet another area of the body that doesn't respond well to diet and exercise, and arms can be left looking baggy. BodyTite liposuction can firm the upper arms, helping them to appear more toned. Additionally, BodyTite liposuction can be used to treat the buttocks, thighs, knees and hips, and any other area with a fatty deposit.

The Cost Of BodyTite Liposuction
BodyTite liposuction prices in the UK will vary between clinics but on average can be found from about £2,000 for one treatment area such as the upper or lower abdomen or thighs.
With well established BodyTite clinics, treatment costs normally reduce when additional areas are paid for with prices dropping to as low as £1,375 per area. Be sure not to let cheap BodyTite prices tempt you into making a rushed decision as it is essential that only highly qualified surgeons or practitioners administer BodyTite treatment.
As a result of the radio waves that are used in the Bodytite technique to break down and liquify the fat cells prior to removal, there is a lot less physical trauma to the treated area and consequently, less risk of complication. One possible drawback that some patients have complained of however, is an increased feeling of tiredness and soreness after surgery. The soreness can in some cases be quite severe and is often described as a stabbing sensation in the treated area. This usually goes after a few weeks at most and can be controlled with pain-killing medication.
Patients might also experience some mild bruising or swelling after surgery but again this is usually temporary and will disappear after about four to six weeks. In some cases infection can occur post-surgery, but in reality there is no greater risk in Bodytite liposuction of an infection occurring than in any other surgical procedure and it can usually be treated with antibiotics.
