Liposuction Surgery Abroad

Liposuction abroad is fast becoming an increasingly popular method to having plastic surgery, particularly fat removal surgery, here in the UK. Not only are there incredibly competitive prices available in some of the many countries that now offer all methods of cosmetic surgery, but now, the surgeons and clinics are equally as skilled, experienced and reputable as many of the board certified surgeons that are found in the UK.

Liposuction surgery is an extremely popular form of cosmetic surgery that aims at removing stubborn fatty deposits that are near impossible to budge through diet and exercise. There are now many alternative options for fat removal surgery including laser liposuction, vaser lipo, tumescent liposuction and of course traditional liposuction.

The procedure is popular among both men and women and can be performed on nearly any area of the body. Some of the most common treatment areas for liposuction include stomach, abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks, knees, ankles, upper arms, neck and sides. As liposuction can be used to treat so many different areas of the body, prices vary for each independent surgery. What’s more the cost of liposuction will all vary according to the amount of fat that is removed from the treatment area. These differences in price are also extremely common in liposuction abroad, however, patients, depending on the destination, are likely to spend only a percentage of the prices found in the UK.

Liposuction abroad has become such a popular decision in recent times thanks to the fantastic prices that are on offer in many countries. While patients can expect to pay up to £5,000 pounds for fat removal surgery in the UK, they and expect to pay only a percentage of that in countries such as the Czech Republic, Tunisia and Spain amongst others. The cost of liposuction abroad varies in each country but countries such as those above and many more offer liposuction for around £1,500 and £2,000. Prices found Brazil, Bolivia, Hungary, Thailand and Turkey are some of the lowest around. In recent years, some clinics that offer liposuction abroad now offer cosmetic surgery holidays. These holidays include not only include the surgery, but also accommodation and travel arrangements.

However, while the liposuction abroad may at first seem much more attractive, patients are strongly recommended to thoroughly research all surgeons and clinics before making a decision. Nowadays, the majority of countries offering liposuction, and other forms of cosmetic surgery, now only allow board certified surgeons to perform plastic surgery.

While prices for liposuction abroad are extremely low, additional costs such as flight and accommodation must also be factored in, as most forms of liposuction require that patients do not fly for at between 7 and 10 days following surgery as flying before the area has healed can lead to complications. Although patients can return home after a week or 10 days, the improvements will not be apparent until the swelling and bruising has fully subsided, which, depending on each patient, is likely to take between 4 and 6 weeks.
